Our Story, In a Nutshell

My personal interest in the transformative effect of this way of eating developed first out of my own experience. By 2008, I had already been enjoying the benefits of a vegan, predominantly whole-food diet for several years.

In researching the evidence presented in The China Study and other books, I became convinced by the science showing that chronic ailments like heart disease and type 2 diabetes can be prevented or reversed by avoiding animal-based and highly processed foods and adopting a whole-food, plant-based diet instead. This was life-saving information that needed to be shared with the world, so I left my job in real estate and spent the next two years creating the Forks Over Knives documentary.

The film resonated with people so much that we wanted to do more. With a growing community inspired to explore or adopt a whole-food, plant-based lifestyle, our brand evolved into a leading resource for helping individuals like you transition to, or sustain, this way of living.
